Motorola is gearing up to launch its latest entrant to its budget smartphone series with the launch of the Moto E5 Plus which is scheduled to launch at an event in Delhi at 3:00 PM IST. The device will feature a massive battery that supports fast charging and the latest version of Android. Motorola has confirmed that the device will go on sale exclusively through Amazon India but will also be available across Moto Hubs in the country.
Launched alongside the Moto E5, E5 Play and Moto G6 series earlier this year outside of India, the Moto E5 Plus sports a 6-inch HD+ IPS LCD display with a resolution of 1440×720 pixels. The device is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 processor with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of onboard storage in addition to a microSD card slot that will be able to add another 256GB of memory to the device.
The E5 Plus features a 13MP rear camera with an Aperture of f/2.0 and PDAF (Phase Detection Autofocus) as well as a 5MP camera on the front for selfies. The smartphone runs on Android 8.0 Oreo, all of which is fuelled by a 5,000mAh battery that supports 15W TurboPower fast charging.
Motorola launched the E5 Plus at an event in Brazil in April for 169 euros(approx. Rs 13,500) but with the Moto G6 coming in at Rs 13,999 in India, we can expect the newest Moto device to come at a cheaper price tag than the company’s G series when the E5 Plus launches in India later today. The event can be watched on livestream in the embedded video which is expected to go live at around 3 PM IST.
