Motorola often updates its camera app through the Google Play Store for all its smartphones. The Lenovo-owned company is now updating the Moto Camera app with some significant changes and additions to all Motorola devices with some additional benefits to the Moto Z3 and Z3 Play.
Fist up, the Moto Camera app now features a selfie Portrait mode for all Motorola devices as well as the addition of watermarks. Devices with the camera app installed will be able to inscribe their photos with the Motorola watermark. The device also adds Integrated camera help options and stability improvements for all devices under the Moto brand.
The front camera of all Motorola devices will now be able to spot individual colours. The Moto Camera app also adds AR stickers to the camera interface but these can only be found on the Moto Z3 and Moto Z3 Play devices. Other improvements include bug fixes and stability improvements inside the camera interface.
The update for the Moto Camera can be accessed by updating the app through the Google Play Store.
To recall, the Moto Z3 was launched back in August sporting a 6.01-inch Full HD+ Max Vision Super AMOLED Display with a resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The device is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 Processor and is backed by 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage.
The phone sports a dual-camera setup at the rear with a combination of the 12MP primary sensor with f/2.0 aperture, 1.25-micron pixel size and a 12-megapixel Monochrome sensor coupled with Laser Autofocus (pDAF), Color Correlated Temperature (CCT) dual LED flash, Zero Shutter Lag (ZSL). For the front, there is an 8-megapixel selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture, 1.12-micron pixel size, 84-degree Wide-Angle lens and screen flash.
