Microsoft has now announced its smallest and most affordable Surface device – the Surface Go convertible in India which was earlier on pre-order but is officially available for purchase. The Microsoft Surface Go will compete with the likes of the Apple iPad Pro and Galaxy Tab S4 and will be exclusively available in India through Flipkart for a starting price of Rs 38,599.

The Microsoft Surface Go features a 10-inch PixelSense Display with a screen Resolution of 1800 x 1200 pixels and an aspect ratio of 3:2. The latest tablet from Microsoft has a fair share of resemblance with its premium Surface Pro and comes with a built-in full friction hinge that extends to 165 degrees. The display comes with a contrast ratio of 1500:1, 10-point multi-touch support and there’s a Gorilla Glass 3 protection on the front for drop-resistance.
Weighing at just 522g, the Surface Go comes powered by an Intel Pentium Gold 4415Y Processor with up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB storage. The device uses Intel’s HD Graphics 615 GPU for its graphics performance and Windows Hello and TPM 2.0 for authentication and security. The Surface Go runs on Windows 10 Home in S mode and features WiFi and Bluetooth Wireless 4.1 for wireless connectivity.
There’s a 5MP camera on the front and an 8MP rear sensor, both of which support 1080p Skype video calling support. The 2-in-1 convertible comes with 2-watt speakers with support for Dolby Audio Premium, a USB-C port, a 3.5mm Headphone jack, a Surface Connect port Surface Type Cover port and a microSDXC card slot.
Microsoft has revealed that it has created a reviewer’s guide to unlock the creativity of people, inspire ideas and accelerate innovation along the way. The company says, with the latest Surface Go, “one os empowered to ‘Live on the Go’, as well as ‘Learn on the Go’“.
