Yesterday we reported that Micromax is entering into accessories market by launching several products in different segments including sound bars, Bluetooth speakers, earphones and power banks. The company will enter into this market by launching two sound bars and three power banks shortly, Rohan Agarwal, Vice President, Consumer Electronics, Micromax told The Mobile Indian.
“As of now, we have launched two products, sound bars and power banks. We will look at expanding these portfolios first before entering into other segments. Once these portfolios are expanded well enough and they have captured a decent size of the market, then we will evaluate next products to come,” he said.
Starting with the sound bars, the brand will come up with two sound bars in a span of 15 days. The devices will be available through both online and offline channels and will come with an expected price range starting from Rs 4,000 to Rs 7,000. Sounds bars will be sold individually right now, but there is also a chance that it might come bundled with Micromax LED TVs.
Coming to the power bank section, the company will be launching three new power banks in India shortly. These power banks will come with a battery capacity of 10,400mAh, 13,000mAh and 15000mAh. As per the price, the devices will be priced somewhere around Rs 900 to Rs 1900. For this segment, Micromax has partnered with LG Chem. However, the power banks will be manufactured by the brand. The company is also planning to come with a whole new range of power banks starting from 2,600mAh to 20,000mAh within a time frame of 50 to 60 days.
