LG Electronics India has announced the inauguration of its local manufacturing line of SIDE BY SIDE Refrigerators in its Pune manufacturing facility. The company has approximately invested Rs 200 crores in the facility. Meanwhile, Itel has debuted its new lineup of L- series smart TVs powered by Linux operating system.
LG India invests Rs 200 crores in local manufacturing facility
LG says that the new facility for local manufacturing of Side by Side Refrigerators is equipped with advanced technologies and machineries. It is set to manufacture the Side-by-Side Refrigerators in addition to Double-door and Single-door refrigerators.
Located at Ranjangaon, Pune, the facility is spread across an area of 52.8 Acre. “With an annual production capacity of 200K Side by Side Refrigerator units, this manufacturing expansion will play a key role in addressing growing consumer demand and extending the company’s portfolio in the Indian market”, said LG. The brand also says that the Pune facility also manufacture TVs, washing machines, ACs, and Monitors.

Itel L-series Linux Smart TVs
Itel has announced the launch of the L series of Linux televisions, which includes two models – L3265 and L4365. These come in 32 and 43 inches respectively and feature a frameless design. The L series also includes a 24W box speaker with Dolby audio for an immersive audio experience and comes with pre-installed OTT apps. Both L3265 and L4365 are respectively priced at Rs 8,999 and Rs 16,599.
The itel L3265 model boasts a frameless design and has a brightness of up to 250 nits. The itel L4365 also has a frameless design and a brightness upto 300-nits. The L series televisions come with pre-installed popular OTT apps and built-in Chromecast, making it easy for users to access their favorite streaming content directly from their phone, tablet, or laptop to their TV.

The L series televisions are available in two sizes, 32 inches in HD ready and 43 inches in Full HD. These TVs are powered by the Coolita operating system and have a memory of 512MB+4GB. The L3265 television is equipped with a 1.5 GHz Quad Core processor, while the L4365 comes with a 1.8 GHz Quad Core processor.
