The Cardio 2 offers a 24-hour continuous dynamic heart rate monitor and a Sleep Monitoring system. The device will be able to track the user’s state of sleep, whether deep or light and help improve its quality.
The smart band also has a Sedentary Remind mode, which reminds the wearer to get up and walk if they have been sitting for too long, along with a new step counting algorithm that promises enhanced accuracy.
The Cardio 2 is powered by a Nordic 52832 Processor and offers Bluetooth 5 for connectivity. The device can be connected to smartphones running iOS 8 or Android 5 or higher using the Lenovo Life app and has a built-in USB port that can be directly connected to a computer or USB port for charging.
With 5ATM Waterproof rating, the Cardio 2 can survive 50 metres of water immersion. The Cardio 2 will thus be able to support swimming, surfing, bathing and washing. Lastly, the smart band features a 100mAh lithium-polymer battery which the company says will last for up to 20 days on one charge.
Speaking about the launch, Aodishi Technology (Lenovo Beijing’s authorised Channel Partner for Sales in India) GM, XieSenchu said “Lenovo is pushing smart wearables as a category since last year and the launch of Smart Band Cardio 2 is a step in the same direction. The Indian fitness wearable market is poised to witness immense growth, and we have already captured over 8 percent of the market share in the segment. There is a great deal of untapped potential for smart bands, especially in the affordable segment. By offering a unique health and wellness proposition through advanced features, we are confident of capturing a larger market share in the price-sensitive market”.
Aodishi Technology India Head, Naveen Bajaj also commented saying “Cardio 2 is the appropriate fitness partner for the new age, health-conscious millennial. The product will be a disrupter in its category as there is no competing product offering so many features at this price point. The new smart band comes with some top-of-the-line features, like the dynamic heart rate monitor, and super battery life, that provide a never before comfort and ease to the user”.
The Lenovo Cardio 2 Smart Band will be available for an asking price of Rs 1,499 on Amazon from July 4.
