Lava launches Android 4.1 based eTab Xtron for Rs 6,770

The tablet has a 7 inch IPS display, 1.5 GHz dual core processor and 8 GB internal memory.

Lava International, which had a very lackluster tablet debut with eTab Z7H, has come back with a bang this time with a new tablet called ‘etab Xtron’.

The 7 inch tablet is based on v4.1.1 Jelly Bean operating system running on a 1.5 GHz dual core processor, quad core graphics processor and 1 RAM. The tablet also has a 2 megapixel front camera.

The tablet comes with a 7 inch IPS display with healthy 1024×600 pixels resolution, which will mean that the tablet has 178 degree viewing angle. Etab Xtron, though has 8 GB of of which 5 GB is usable, has expandable storage capacity of 32 GB via a micro card.

The phone is WiFi only and has a 3500 battery. The tablet however misses out on HDMI port and a full USB port which we believe has been done to ensure that tablet remains slim, there is no clarity on whether it supports via dongle (which we think it will) or not.

For its feature set, the price of Rs 6,500 seems to be reasonable as it is one of the best in terms of specification in the budget tablet category.
