Intex Technologies has today announced that its in-house digital wallet service known as Intex MyWallet application is now available on Google Play Store. The application is free to download and is in line with government’s vision for making India a cashless economy.
The company has partnered with Tata mRupee to launch the digital payment service in October last year. Through the mobile wallet, users will be able to send and receive money. One can also make payment across various segments including recharging the phone to paying utility bills like postpaid, gas, electricity, DTH, landline, data card etc. The wallet also allows users to book Railway tickets through IRCTC and other entertainment bookings through various gift voucher and coupons.
The company is planning to integrate and pre-load the application to its smartphones lineup and users will be able to earn loyalty points for various digital purchases like videos, games and other content. The loyalty points could be further redeemed for various utility payments or could be converted to cash depending on needs.
