IFA 2019: Asus announces ProArt series, ASUSPRO B9, VivoWatch SP

Asus has announced a slew of products under a new ProArt range of PCs as well as a new business laptop and a smartwatch at the IFA 2019 conference in Berlin.

At the IFA 2019 conference in Berlin, Asus has announced a slew of products under a new ProArt range of PCs as well as a new business laptop and a smartwatch. The new products from Asus include the ProArt StudioBook One, ProArt StudioBook Pro X, ProArt Station D940MX, ProArt Display PA32UCG, ASUSPRO B9 business laptop and VivoWatch SP health and fitness wearable.

ProArt StudioBook One

Asus has launched the ProArt StudioBook One as the first laptop to feature NVIDIA Quadro RTX 6000 graphics. The laptop is also powered by the latest 9th Gen Intel Core i9 processors and comes loaded with a PANTONE display with an 84 percent screen-to-body ratio and 120Hz refresh rate. The laptop comes with a lightweight aerospace-grade titanium alloy thermal module and single that tilts the chassis by 4.57-degrees to allow airflow and ensure cooling.

Asus ProArt StudioBook One, StudioBook Pro X

ProArt StudioBook Pro X

The ProArt StudioBook Pro X from Asus offers a 17-inch ASUS NanoEdge display with a 92 percent screen-to-body ratio, 16:10 aspect ratio and 97% DCI-P3 colour space coverage. The laptop is powered by an Intel Xeon or 9th Generation Intel Core i7 with NVIDIA Quadro RTX 5000 graphics and CPU-attached Raid 0 for faster storage performance. The laptop also utilises ScreenPad 2.0 which offers a secondary touchscreen for multitasking and easy workflow.

ProArt Station D940MX

Powered by a 9th Gen Intel Core i9 processor, the ProArt Station D940MX is a workstation-grade desktop with an NVIDIA Quadro RTX™ 4000 or NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 Ti graphics onboard. The desktop features 512GB PCIe SSD, 1TB HDD and Thunderbolt 3 connectivity. It comes with an indicator at the bottom to reflect the current status of the PC, 2D vapour chamber and heat pipes to ensure thermal cooling, select 37dB full load operation and MIL-STD 810G durability.

Asus is offering a new ProArt Display PA32UCG with HDR 1600 compatibility and a 120Hz variable-refresh rate. The display comes with 1,152 individual mini LED backlights, local dimming, 1,600nits rightness and support for Dolby Vision, Hybrid Log-Gamma (HLG) and HDR10. The ProArt Display additionally brings quantum-dot technology, Adaptive-Sync, Thunderbolt 3 connectivity and access to one DisplayPort, three HDMI ports and a Hub.

ASUSPRO B9 (B9450)

Asus has announced what it claims is the world’s lightest business laptop – the ASUSPRO B9. The ASUSPRO B9 is powered by up to 10th Gen Intel Core processors with RAID 0 or 1 for faster data, up to two 1TB PCIe 3.0 x4 SSDs, WiFi 6 and Thunderbolt 6 connectivity. The laptop weighs in at 880 grams and offers a 14-inch NanoEdge display with a screen-to-body ratio of 94 percent and a 14.9mm thickness. The device is also certified with US MIL-STD 810G durability and offers Trusted Platform Module 2.0 (TPM) security chip and built-in camera for safety.

VivoWatch SP

VivoWatch SP

The VivoWatch SP comes with 24/7 health and fitness monitoring through medical-grade ECG and PPG sensors. The health and fitness smartwatch brings ASUS HealthAI technology to track real-time health data, including heart rate, pulse O2 level, autonomic nerve activity index (ANS age), stress level and blood pressure. There’s a built-in sensor lets users track outdoor workouts and the watch is swim-proof to a depth of up to 50 meters (5 ATM). The VivoWatch SP offers a battery life of up to 14 days on a single charge and comes with a built-in altimeter and pulse O2 monitor.
