Huawei Watch GT 2 to launch on September 19 with a Kirin A1 chip

Huawei is all set to launch Mate 30 series at an event on September 19 in Munich, Germany.

Huawei is all set to launch Mate 30 series at an event on September 19 in Munich, Germany. Now it has been also confirmed that the company will be announcing Huawei Watch GT 2 as well in the event.

The announcement comes via the company itself which has posted a video on Weibo. The video, however, does not reveal any details about the Watch GT 2 apart from that the smartwatch will be powered by Kirin A1 chipset which also powers the recently launched Freebuds 3.

As per earlier leaks, there will be two models of Huawei Watch GT 2 – Classic and Sport. It will feature the built-in and optical heart rate monitor. The smartwatch will also have a mic and a speaker and will be backed by a 445mAh battery.

To recall, Huawei Watch GT was launched back in October 2018 along with the Mate 20 Pro smartphone. It features a 1.39-inch display with a screen of 454 x 454 pixels. The watch comes with an optical heart rate sensor and it features Huawei’s TruSeen 3.0 technology to offer better heart rate monitoring.

The Watch GT also comes with sleep tracking and there is an inbuilt GPS as well. The smartwatch is available in two different models, the Watch GT and Watch GT Classic. It also features a coaching mode that supports workout types like swimming, climbing, and more.
