Huawei launched MediaPad M5 tablets at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2018 earlier this year. Now seems like that the company is already working on its next tablet called the Mediapad C5.
MobielKopen, a Dutch website has revealed that the tablet is codenamed Monet. The tablet will come in two variants – Wi-Fi-only model with a model number of MON-W19 and another with LTE support with a model number of MON-A19. Huawei Mediapad C5 will feature an 8-inch display with a resolution of 1200 x 1920 pixels. The tablet will be a budget tablet and will be powered by the Snapdragon 435 1.4 GHz octa-core processor. It will, however, run on an older Android Nougat operating system.
The MediaPad C5 is expected to replace the MediaPad M5 Lite that was launched in 2017. Apart from these few details, not much is known as of now about this upcoming tablet. The tablet is expected to come in with the choice of either 3GB or 4GB of RAM. This will be coupled with 64GB or 128GB of internal storage.
The Huawei MediaPad M5 tablet exact announcement and availability time frame is not known at the moment but it is expected that the company might unveil the new tablet at the annual IFA event in Berlin, Germany to be held from August 31 and September 5.
