Huawei announces MateBook X Pro, MateBook 14, MateBook 13

The MateBook X Pro (2019) bears a similar resemblance to the MateBook X Pro of last year and comes with a metallic unibody design with a sandblast finish for a uniform look. The laptop features a 13.9-inch LTPS Ultra FullView touch screen display with a screen resolution of 3000 x 2000 pixels.

Exactly a year ago, Huawei introduced the MateBook X Pro at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2018 and now, the Chinese manufacturer has announced the second generation of the MateBook X Pro along with the MateBook 14 and MateBook 13 notebooks at MWC 2019 in Barcelona, Spain. All three notebooks come with Full View displays with near-to-no-bezels on the front and start at 999 euros (approx. Rs 80,400). Huawei has also launchedits first foldable smartphone – theHuawei Mate X 5G at the MWC 2019 event.

The laptop features a 13.9-inch LTPS Ultra FullView touch screen display with a screen of 3000 x 2000 pixels and an aspect ratio of 3:2.

The notebook can be powered by an 8th-generation Intel Core i7-8565U with an Nvidia GeForce MX250 GPU, up to 16GB of and 1TB of NVMe PCIe SSD storage. The device comes with two Huawei “Shark Fin Fans 2.0” which can cool the notebook with active and passive cooling.

The newest MateBook X Pro features a set of four speakers that combines two woofers with two welters and comes with support for Dolby Atmos. Connectivity options include USB ports, USB Type-A port, Thunderbolt 3 and 6. The device comes with a fingerprint scanner inbuilt onto the power button and comes with a 7565mAh which Huawei says will offer 12 hours of video playback.

The Huawei MateBook X Pro will be available for 1,599 euros (approx. Rs 1,28,700) and 1,999 euros (approx. Rs 1,61,000) for the Core i5 + 8GB RAM and Core i7 + 16GB RAM variants. The notebook will come in Mystic Silver and Space Gray colours.

Huawei MateBook 14

The Huawei MateBook 14 features a 14-inch FullView display with a 2160 x 1440 pixels screen resolution and 3:2 aspect ratio. It’s powered by an 8th generation Intel Core i5 or i7 processor, with up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage and an optional NVIDIA GeForce MX250 GPU. The MateBook 14 also comes with a metal body and Shark Fin Fans 2.0 for keeping the notebook cool when fully functioning.

The MateBook 14 comes with a full sized keyboard and two speakers supported by Dolby Atmos. Connectivity options include WiFi, 5.0, USB-C port, two USB-A ports, a hack and an HDMI port. The laptop offers a 57.4Wh battery which is expected to offer 15 hours of video playback.

The Huawei MateBook 14 will be available for a starting price of 1,199 euros (approx. Rs 1,28,100) in Pink Gold, Mystic Silver and Space Gray colours.

Huawei MateBook 13

The Huawei MateBook 13 features a smaller 13-inch 3:2 FullView display with a resolution of 2160 x 1440 pixels and can be bought with an optional touchscreen with support for up to 10-finger multitouch. The device can be powered with an 8th generation Intel Core i7 processor, Nvidia GeForce MX150 GPU, 8GB of RAM and up to 512GB SSD.

Connectivity options include WiFi, two USB Type-C ports and a 3.5mm audio jack. The device also comes with a fingerprint-enabled power button and features a 3,670mAh. It comes with Huawei Share 3.0 which offers a convenient connection between the PC and an smartphone.

The Huawei MateBook 13 will be available for purchase for a starting price of 999 euros (approx. Rs 80,400) in Mystic Silver and Space Gray colours.
