HTC U12+ specs and images leaked accidentally by HTC ahead of the launch

HTC is all set to launch its next flagship device, the HTC U12+ smartphone on May 23. Now, just ahead of official launch, HTC has accidentally revealed the details of the upcoming smartphone on its very own website.

First spotted by Roland Quandt, the pages on HTC’s testing website was left public by mistake. The page has since been taken down, but folks at The Verge were able to get the details of the HTC U12+ by the time HTC took down the page.

The page has revealed the specifications, pricing, and official renders of HTC U12+. The renders reveal that HTC U12+ will feature a bezel-less display with a notch at the top. The rear side of the device shows the dual camera setup horizontally-aligned in the center along with the LED flash. There is the fingerprint scanner at the back also with HTC branding on the center of the back panel.

As far as specs are concerned, HTC U12+ was listed with a 6-inch WQHD+ Super LCD6 display with 1440 x 2880 pixels resolution. It is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 coupled with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage and expandable up to 2TB via micro sd card slot. It is backed by a 3500mAh battery and it runs on 8.0 Oreo out of the box. It will also feature rating for dust and water resistance. The listing also mentions Boomsound audio.

The listing has also revealed the price of HTC U12+ to be 5888 Yuan (about $920) which is approximately Rs 62,916.

As per earlier reports, the smartphone comes loaded with a dual-camera setup with a combination of 12-megapixel wide-angle lens with 1.4-micron pixel size, f/1.75 aperture and a 16-megapixel telephoto lens with 1.0-micron pixel size, f/2.6 aperture. The rear camera also features UltraSpeed Autofocus 2 (phase detection + laser autofocus) up to 2x optical zoom, 10x digital zoom, dual LED flash, Pro mode, optical image stabilization, AR stickers, face detection, panorama among others. Further, the phone features video recording at 60fps, slow-motion videos at 240fps.

For the front, there will be a dual-camera setup as well with a combination of two 8-megapixel with 1.12-micron pixel size, f/2.0 aperture. The phone will feature Face unlock feature as well along with fingerprint sensor, which is placed on the back panel.
