Huawei’s sub-brand, Honor has also announced the launch of Honor WaterPlay, along with the Honor 7X smartphone yesterday in China. As the name itself suggests, the device is waterproof and comes with the IP67 rating.
The Honor WaterPlay comes in three different models- 3GB of RAM with 32GB of internal storage (WiFi model) is priced at 1999 yuan, 4GB of RAM with 64GB of internal storage (WiFi model) cost 2399 yuan, and for 4G LTE model with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage one has to pay 2699 yuan. The Honor WaterPlay will be made available from October 24th in Silver and Champagne Gold colours. The company has already started taking pre-orders for the tablet.
The Honor WaterPlay has a 10.1-inch full HD (1920 x 1200 pixels) QXGA display with 70% NTSC Color Gamut and powered by a 2.36GHz Octa-core Kirin 659 processor, which is paired with MaliT830 GPU. The WaterPlay runs on Android 7.0 Nougat operating system wrapped under Huawei’s Emotion UI 5.1. The tablet gets its strength from a 6660 mAh battery with fast charging. It comes with a premium all-metal unibody design and four Harman Kardon-powered speakers to give 3D surround sound and delivering an immersive media experience. The tablet also comes with a fingerprint sensor, which is integrated into its home button on the front.
Honor WaterPlay comes with 3GB/4GB of RAM, and 32GB/64GB of internal memory, which is further expandable up-to 256GB via a micro SD card. The tablet also has an 8-megapixel primary camera with LED flash, f/2.0 aperture, and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera, Besides, the tablet offers 4G LTE (model dependent), Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, and a USB Type C. Further, the tablet also offers Voice calling support on 4G LTE network. The Honor WaterPlay is 248 x 173 x 7.8mm in size and weighs 465 grams.
