Alongside the launch of Honor 20S and Play 3 smartphones, the company also introduced the Honor MagicBook Pro Ryzen Edition notebook with AMD’s Ryzen 5 and Ryzen 7 series. Honor MagicBook Pro new edition is the successor of MagicBook Pro which was launched in July along with the Honor 9X series of smartphones.
The Honor MagicBook Pro Ryzen Edition is priced at 4999 Yuan (Rs 50,350 approx.) for the Ryzen 5, 8GB RAM and 512GB storage variant, 5199 Yuan (Rs. 52,360 approx.) for the Ryzen 5, 16GB RAM and 512GB storage variant and the Ryzen 7, 8GB RAM and 512GB storage variant is priced at 5199 Yuan (Rs. 52,360 approx. The Linux variant with Ryzen 5, 8GB RAM and 512GB storage will cost you 4399 Yuan (Rs 44,285 approx.). It comes in Glacial Silver colour.
The Honor MagicBook Pro Ryzen Edition features a 16.1-inch Full HD display with 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution 16:9 aspect ratio, and 90 percent screen ratio. Under the hood, all of the Ryzen versions feature integrated Radeon Vega graphics. It is powered by 2.1GHz AMD Ryzen 5 3550H (up to 3.7GHz) with AMD Radeon RX Vega 8 GPU and 2.3GHz AMD Ryzen 7 3750H (up to 4.0GHz) with AMD Radeon RX Vega 10 GPU with 12GB RAM and up to 512GB SSD. It also has a 2GB NVIDIA GeForce MX250 graphics.
Honor claims that the 56 watt-hour battery on the MagicBook Pro Ryzen Edition will be able to offer 8.5 hours of battery life. Software-wise, the new Edition boots 64-bit Windows 10 Home. The Honor MagicBook Pro Ryzen Edition has a fingerprint sensor that’s placed under the power button.
The connectivity features of the notebook include one USB Type-C port, three USB 3.0 ports, one HDMI port, WiFi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 5.0. It also comes with a 3.5mm audio jack, microphone combo, Dolby Atmos. The dimensions are 369 x 234 x16.9 and it weighs 1.7kg.
