Google to launch second generation Nexus 7 on July 24?

Google has sent out a press invite for an early morning event scheduled on July 24 with Sundar Pichai, senior vice president for Android and Chrome at Google.

Google may release the second generation of Nexus 7 tablet next week on July 24. Actually the maker has sent invitations to media organization for an even on July 24 but the invite does not carry much details about the nature of the event. The Google Press event will be hosted by Sundar Pichai, senior vice president for Android and Google.

Most likely, Google is expected to announce the new Android 4.3 Jelly Bean MR2 update along with the new Nexus 7.

The invite of the Google Press event was put up on the Twitter social network by JR Raphael of Computerworld. The invite carried no teaser image but only simple text – Please join us for breakfast with Sundar Pichai.

The images and video of the new Nexus 7 tablet was leaked earlier today. The new Nexus 7 will have the same 7-inch display but likely to be higher natively. Asus, which is likely to be manufacturer of the tablet, is said to have fitted the tablet with a quad-core 1.2 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 mobile with 1 RAM. It will run the upcoming Android 4.3 Jelly Bean MR2 update.

Holding a press conference just for Android 4.3 Jelly Bean MR2 update seems unlikely but looks more plausible for the launch of new Nexus 7 tablet.
