Google has started rolling out its Duplex feature to all iPhone models and select Android smartphones. The company is currently rolling out the update in the US region.
Duplex feature is available out on select Android smartphones running Android 5.0 version and above. For iPhones, users can download the Google Assistant application from the App Store to use this feature. That said, there is no word when this feature will be available for the Indian and other markets. For the unintended, the new feature allows your Google Assistant to make an appointment at your hair salon or your favorite restaurant on your behalf.
With this Google, Assistant will get the ability to make a call in the background, talk to a representative at the restaurant or salon, understand the context and make a reservation. Google Duplex was revealed during I/O 2018, which is the company’s annual developer conference.
Meanwhile, the company introduced some interesting features to its Gmail, marking its 15-year anniversary. The brand has revealed new features to the email app with improvements to Smart Compose and a new feature to let users schedule their email to be sent at a later time.
Previously, Google launched its newest platform for cloud gaming. Dubbed as Stadia, the new platform will allow you to play games on any machine including TVs, smartphones, tablets, and laptops as long as the device you use has access to Google Stadia and a good internet connection.
