Google Assistant is now available at Google Play Store, but there’s a catch!

The application is just a shortcut to trigger the Assistant on your device.

Google announced its latest flagship smartphones Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL in the market at its Made for Google event. Along with it, the search engine giant has released the Google Assistant app in the Google as well. Before you get excited, you should know that the app will not work on your smartphone, if it does not have Google Assistant.enable the Google Assistant feature in your smartphone if that does not support it. The application is just a shortcut to trigger the Assistant on your device.

The app is meant for those devices that support Google Assistant and the application is just a shortcut to trigger the Assistant on your device. Earlier, to trigger the Google Assistant, users use to hold the home button or voice activate it by saying Ok Google, but with this app users can now achieve the same task with just a tap on the application. The app requires certain requirements as well likeGoogle Search v7.11 or higher and minimum memory requirements.

Google Assistant is a virtual personal assistant developed by Google and was announced in May 2016. It can search the Internet, schedule events and alarms, adjust hardware settings on the user’s device, and show information from the user’s Google account and more.
