Fitbit Charge 2, Flex 2 fitness bands announced for Indian market

New stylish collections for Fitbit Alta and Fitbit Blaze were also announced.

Fitness maker, Fitbit has announced two new fitness wristbands – Fitbit Charge 2 and Fitbit Flex 2. It also announced Fitbit Adventures – a new series of personal, non-competitive activity Challenges that are designed to inspire users to move more and attain their health and fitness goals. New stylish collections for Fitbit Alta and Fitbit Blaze were also announced.

Fitbit Charge 2 will be sold at Rs 14,999 with classic black, blue, plum and teal colour bands. You can choose from four types of bands for the Charge 2 but these are separately sold. Among the bands include a classic bands in four colours at Rs 2,999, luxe premium leather bands in blush pink, brown, and indigo (Rs 6,999) while special edition series in gunmetal and rose gold will be launched soon at Rs 16,999.
Fitbit Charge 2
Charge 2 and Flex 2 are available for presale today on Fitbit.com and online exclusively on Amazon India. Fitbit Charge 2 will be available in late September and Flex 2 will be available in October at major India retailers including Reliance Digital, Croma, Helios, Jumbo and Vijay Sales retail stores.

Fitbit Flex 2 has a price tag of Rs 9,499 tracker with a classic fitness band in black, lavender, magenta or navy. Fitbit will release 3-pack fitness accessory band hues in Pink (blush pink, lavender and magenta) and Sport (gray, navy and yellow) at Rs 2,999.

FitBit also revealed that it will bring bangle accessory in gold, rose gold (at Rs 9,999), and silver stainless steel (at Rs 8,999).

Pendant accessory in gold (at Rs 9,999) and silver stainless steel (at Rs 7,999) for the Flex 2 will be released soon.

Specs

The Fitbit Charge 2 comes with a large screen, PurePulse heart rate monitor, and GPS. It will show you call, text and calendar alerts. Ofcourse, it shows time, date and calorie consumption. It will help you keep a tab on your sleep pattern. Besides, Charge 2 offers guided breathing sessions that are based on user’s heart rate.

The Fitbit Flex 2 does not have any screen like the Charge 2. Instead it has four lights and as per the company, the Flex 2 comes with the slimmest band of Fitbit till date. The tracker is removable and it can be used with bands, bangles and pendants.

The Flex 2 claims to offer upto 5 days of battery back up and notifies the user if they get any call or message on their phone. Ofcourse, it tracks your movements throughout the day and help you keep a tab on your sleep pattern.

On Adventure, Fitbit said, “With each step logged, you can advance and virtually experience iconic landmarks and trails in Yosemite National Park or participate in the TCS New York City Marathon, while being motivated by fun facts and inspired through immersive breathtaking photography. Available globally in the top-downloaded, free Fitbit® app, Fitbit Challenges motivate users to increase activity, showing how small steps add up to big results, with Fitbit data demonstrating that users who participate in Challenges move up to around one additional mile per day, on average.”

Fitbit Adventures is available today for free through the Fitbit on Android, and Windows devices, and is compatible with all Fitbit activity tracking products, including the new Charge 2 and Flex 2.
