State-owned Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has today announced the launch of Rs 19 prepaid plan for its customers. The plan is however not valid on the pan-India basis but has been introduced in Tamil Nadu and Chennai regions.
The new promotional plan of Rs 19 is valid for 90 days from the date of introduction, reports TelecomTalk. The plan will expire on October 11, 2018, and it’s valid only in the said regions.
BSNL new prepaid STV (special tariff voucher) offers discounted voice call rates instead of unlimited voice calling. It discounts the on-net voice calls to 15 paise per minute while for the off-net voice calls, it charges 35 paise per minute. The rates are valid for 54 days from the date of recharge. After 54 days, the users will be charged as per standard rates. Customers can also recharge any another plan on top of the newly launched STV 19.
However, it is important to note that the voice calling rates will be only valid in circles where BSNL has its operations. For the unintended, the operator does not have services in metro cities like Delhi and Mumbai. So, in metro cities, users will be charged at standard rates.
Meanwhile, in a related story, BSNL recently revised its range of prepaid plans with more data benefits. The company has revised Rs 14, Rs 29, Rs 40, Rs 57, Rs 78, Rs 68, Rs 82, Rs 85, Rs 155 and Rs 241 plans.
