Ringing Bells announced a 31.5 inch LED TV, named Freedom 9900, some time back for Rs 9,900. Now the company announced that it will start the booking for its new TV on Monday, August 15 2016. The booking can be done on the company’s official website and will only be open for one day only.
Furthermore, it states that the delivery for Freedom 9900 will begin on the next day i.e. 16th August itself on Cash-On-Delivery basis. Earlier Ringing Bells was accused a lot for it suspected fraud on the launch of Freedom 251 handset, which at Rs 251 is the cheapest Android smartphone in the world. But later the company kept its promise and delivered almost 70,000 handsets in 2 shipping phases.
“Ringing Bells is all set to fulfill its promise of delivering 2 lakh smartphones to the customers by starting the delivery process of 65,000 more units,” the company stated in a press release last week.
Coming to the specifications, the Freedom 9900 has a 31.5 inch LED screen panel with resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels and a contrast ratio of 3000:1. It will also come with 2 HDMI ports, 2 USB ports and 2 speakers for audio.
In the latest press release the company stated that, “We are expecting good response for the television and assure our customers that they will get a quality product in the price that they never thought of in the current market scenario,”
Well, Ringing Bells is certainly back up and running after the initial glitch at the time of Freedom 251 launch.
Recently, we have witnessed some serious cheap offerings in television segment from Kodak, Infocus and the new entrant Daiwa. With the company claiming Freedom 9900 to be the cheapest in the segment, it certainly looks like Ringing Bells will once again target the poor income group. We are pretty excited once the detailed specifications are out.
