Black Shark 2 to feature e-sports battery with 60 percent improved performance

The phone display will support full HD+ resolution of 2340 x 1080 pixels. It will be powered by Snapdragon 855 coupled with 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage.

Xiaomi Black Shark 2 will be announced on March 18 in China at a launch event to be held in Beijing. Now ahead of the launch, the company has announced a better battery tech for the upcoming phone. The Chinese smartphone maker has launched two phones in the series till now –Black Shark gaming phone and Black Shark Helo.

For gaming smartphones, battery life is one of the critical factors and the company will bring a new solution for the upcoming smartphone. Black Shark CEO Peter revealed via a Weibo post that the phone will come with an e-sports grade battery.

He added that this will increase the charging and discharging performance by 60 percent for the smartphone, thanks to the optimized battery chemical system. The company has tweaked the charge and discharge algorithm. He also confirmed that the phone will come with Liquid Cooling 3.0 technology.

The phone was spotted on AnTuTu under the model name, Black Shark Skywalker, as per which the phone display will support full HD+ resolution of 2340 x 1080 pixels. It will be powered by Snapdragon 855 coupled with 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. The phone will run on 9 Pie, as per Antutu listing.

Black Shark 2 was recently spotted on Geekbench website. The listing revealed that a smartphone will come with the massive 12GB of RAM. The listing also revealed that the smartphone will be powered by Qualcomm’s latest chipset, Snapdragon 855.

Recently, thecompany announced its foray into India and will soon be bringing it’s latest products, peripherals and services to the gamer community in the country. With its operations in India, the company is likely to launch peripherals like the Gamepad 2.0 controller, along with its gaming smartphones.
