After disrupting the Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) market, Yog Guru Baba Ramdev is all set to invade the telecom industry as Ramdev’s Patanjali has partnered with BSNL to launch Swadeshi Samriddhi SIM cards for its users.
Under this partnership, BSNL users who have opted for the Swadeshi SIM cards will get unlimited calls on local and national networks along with 2GB of data and 100 SMSes with a recharge of Rs 144. Further, the SIM card holders will get medical and life insurances covers of Rs 2.5 lakh and 5 lakh respectively, reports ANI. However, the covers could only be availed in the case of road accident.
Initially, the SIM cards will be distributed to Patanjali employees and office bearers, however, after its full-fledged launch, people will also get 10 percent discount on Patanjali products with this SIM card.
“Patanjali’s plan is BSNL’s best plan. In Rs 144, one can make unlimited calls from any part of the country. We are giving 2 GB data pack, 100 SMSs. The members of the Patanjali has to just show their identity and there SIM will be activated soon after some paperwork,” said Sunil Garg, BSNL Chief General Manager, in a press statement.
