Alleged Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017) Spotted with Android Nougat

The tablet has Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 1.4 GHz quad-core processor.

Samsung had unveiled Galaxy Tab S3 at the Mobile World Congress 2017 held earlier this year. Now seems like Samsung is working on its another new tablet as an unannounced tablet with model number Samsung SM-T385 has been found listed on GFXBench website. As per reports, the device is likely to be dubbed as Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017).

As per the listing on GFXBench, Samsung SM-T385 has an 8-inch display that has 1280×800 pixels resolution and 5 finger gesture support. Besides as per the listing, it has Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 1.4 GHz quad-core processor, 2GB RAM, 16GB of internal storage out of which 11GB will be reserved for the users, Adreno 308 and 7.0 Nougat operating system. The listing, however, does not mention anything about the battery.

As per the benchmark listing, the Samsung SM-T385 has an 8-megapixel camera and a LED flash on its rear panel while a 5-megapixel camera is in its front for selfies. The GFX listing shows that the device has connectivity features like Bluetooth, GPS and WiFi. As per the listing, the device has and light as well.

Samsung Galaxy Tab E 8.0 (2017)

Apart from GFX listing, the device has received WiFi certification from the WiFi Alliance (WFA) confirming the Nougat operating system. As per the certification, the Samsung SM-T385 will support Wi-Fi a/b/g/n (2.4GHz, 5GHz) and Wi-Fi Direct connectivity features. Sadly, the listing does not show any specifications except that the device will be powered by Android 7.0 operating system. The has the certification ID WFA72400 and the date of certification being 15th June 2017.
