Bharti Airtel is all set counter Reliance Jio’s latest FTTH broadband services by offering unlimited data on select broadband plans.
The telecom operator has basically removed the fair usage policy limit on select monthly broadband packs in over 20 markets, reports The Economic Times. Until now, the telecom operator only had unlimited home broadband plans in Hyderabad and it seems that it is finally extending this to other circles as well. The move could cater nearly 2.4 million active wired broadband users.
Previously, the brand introduced 20 per cent discount for broadband customers for one year and 15 per cent discount for 6 months plan. The new offer is valid in all cities where Airtel has its operations. However, the plan is only valid for 6 months and yearly plans. Under this offer, users opting for Rs 1099 for six months will get choose for Rs 933, while if you opt for the plan for one year, you will get for Rs 875. This makes a total amount of Rs 10,500 for one year and Rs 5600 for six months.
Meanwhile, the company is also offering free data, an extension of bill payments and more to flood-hit Kerala. To start with, Airtel prepaid users will get the auto-approval of ‘Talk Time’ credit up to Rs 30. Further, all Airtel prepaid customers will get 1GB of free mobile data on their smartphones. The free data is valid for seven days.
