Bharti Airtel has today announced few measures to help its customers in the flood-hit Kerala. The brand has revealed that users will get free data, an extension on bill payments, VSAT service and more.
To start with, Airtel prepaid users will get the auto-approval of ‘Talk Time’ credit up to Rs 30. Further, all Airtel prepaid customers will get 1GB of free Mobile Data on their smartphones. The free data is valid for seven days.
Additionally, Airtel has announced an extension of bill payments dates for all Airtel postpaid and Broadband customers. This will help them to communicate with their loved ones during the flood. The operator has also deployed VSAT service at five major relief centres in Kerala. This help user with free WiFi and calling in places where Airtel has installed the VSAT service.
Airtel says that its network teams and partners continue to make efforts to ensure the network is up and running despite the “the challenge of lack of power supply and disruption in movement of fuel supplies.”
Lastly, citizens at large can charge their smartphones and make free calls to their loved ones from select Airtel flagship store, which is located in Thrissur, Calicut, Malappuram, Kannur, Kottayam, Trivandrum and Ernakulam.
Meanwhile, Airtel has revealed that it is giving Amazon Pay digital Gift card worth Rs 51 to its prepaid and postpaid customers in India. Users can avail the gift card by going to Airtel application and click on “Airtel Thanks”. However, it is important to note that the telecom operator is offering the Gift Card to prepaid customers that recharge a bundled pack of Rs 100 or higher. For postpaid customers, anyone with Infinity plan will be eligible for the gift card.
