Acer has today added a new member to its Predator gaming laptop series with the launch of Predator Helios 300 in India. Priced at Rs 1,29,999, the laptop will be exclusively available in India starting from August 17, 2017.
The laptop features a matte black chassis, has red accents and comes with air vents and proprietary PredatorSense software to control and customize a host of features. The gaming laptop features a 15.6-inch Full HD IPS display coupled with Dolby Audio Premium and Acer TrueHarmony that the company boasts deliver immersive audio. The device is powered by the latest seventh generation Intel Core i7 (7700HQ) or i5 processor (7300HQ) along with Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 or 1050Ti GPU, which is overclockable.
It is backed by up to 16GB of DDR4 RAM, which upgradable to 32GB along with a 256GB SATA SSD and 1TB HDD hard drives. There is an access compartment door on the bottom of the notebook, which makes it easier to upgrade memory and storage components.
On the connectivity front, the Predator Helios 300 includes a USB 3.1 Type-C port, a USB 3.0 port (featuring power-off USB charging), two USB 2.0 ports, and an HDMI 2.0 connection. It connects wirelessly through fast 2×2 802.11ac technology and also includes a Gigabit Ethernet port for those preferring a hard-wired connection.

The Predator Helios 300 features AeroBlade 3D Fan, which comes with a metal fan blade at only 0.1 mm. The brand says that the blade offers a much quieter thermal system. The gaming laptop also comes loaded with PredatorSense software, which provides real time system information and overclocking, so gamers can monitor and control the system’s vitals from one central interface.
