Xiaomi recently launched the Redmi 5 and Redmi 5 Plus smartphones with 18:9 bezel-less displays in China. The company has not yet launched the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 which has been in leaks and rumours for a long time now. It is now being speculated that Xiaomi will be launching Redmi Note 5 in January 2018. It is also to be noted that its predecessor Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 was also launched in January this year.
Recently, Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 hands-on image leaked revealing the Redmi Note 5 featuring 18:9 aspect ratio complete with thin bezels and rounded corners.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 was also spotted on Oppomart for $199 which is approximately Rs 12,901. The listing also revealed complete specifications for the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5.
As per the Oppomart listing, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 has a 5.99-inch Full HD (2160 x 1080 pixels) display with 18:9 aspect ratio. A 2.0GHz 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 octa-core processor runs the phone with the help of 3GB/4GB RAM. It offers 32GB/64GB internal storage. This 4G smartphone runs on Android 7.1 Nougat operating system with MIUI 9 on top of it and is backed up by a 4000 mAh Li-Polymer battery which claims to offer up to 72 hours of standby time.

The listing also shows that the smartphone has a 12-megapixel rear camera and on the front, it has a 5-megapixel shooter for selfies. On the connectivity front, both the device supports 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, GLONASS and Dual-SIM support. It measures 158.5mm x 75.5mm x 8.05mm and weighs 179 grams.
