Xiaomi will be launching its new camera-centric CC series of smartphones on July 2 in China. The Mi CC9 and Mi CC9e will be the first in the company’s new ‘CC’ smartphone series meant for the youth. Now ahead of the launch, Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun has shared a couple of photos of the Xiaomi Mi CC9.
The photos have been posted on Chinese microblogging site, Weibo by Jun. The images only show the rear panel of the phone which comes is White colour. At the back, we can see that the Mi CC9 features a vertically aligned triple rear camera setup. The camera set up is paired with LED flash.
It is expected that the Mi CC9 will come with an in-display fingerprint sensor as the photo shows that the phone does not feature any rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. There is also Xiaomi branding at the left corner on the back of the device. The right side of the phone has a volume rocker and a power key. The top EDGE of the phone seems to feature a 3.5mm Audio Jack and a SIM card slot.
Separately, Xiaomi CC product manager Lao Wei on Weibo has posted the retail box of the Mi CC9. The box, however, does not show any specs of the upcoming phone. The box is seen to sport a minimal white design, with the colourful “Chic” and “Cool”’ logo on the front.
It was confirmed yesterday that the Mi CC9 will be equipped with a 32-megapixel selfie camera and a 48-megapixel Sony primary camera at the rear. The Xiaomi Mi CC9 will come in three variants – 6GB RAM with 128GB of storage with a price tag of Yuan 2599, the 8GB RAM with 128GB of storage will be priced at Yuan 2799 and 8GB RAM with 256GB of storage will cost Yuan 3099.
The phone will be featuring a 6.39-inch full-HD+ (1080×2340 pixels) AMOLED display. It is tipped to be powered by the Snapdragon 730 SoC and pack a 4,000mAh battery as well with 27W Fast charging support. The phone will have a 32-megapixel front camera along with a triple rear camera setup of 48-megapixel Sony IMX586 sensor, a 16-megapixel secondary lens, and a 12-megapixel third sensor. It will come with an on-screen fingerprint sensor, IR Blaster, USB Type-C port, and Hi-Res audio support as well.
