The Xiaomi new camera-centric CC series of smartphones will launch on July 2 in China. The Xiaomi Mi CC9 and Mi CC9e will be the first in the company’s new ‘CC’ smartphone series. Now it has been revealed that alongside these two smartphones, there will also be a Mi CC9 Meitu Custom Edition.
The company’s CEO Lei Jun has confirmed onWeibo that there will be three variants that will be launched next week – the Mi CC9, Mi CC9e, and Mi CC9 Meitu Custom Edition. Jun has confirmed today that the CC9 Meitu Custom Edition will be sporting a special colour. The retail box of the custom edition variant is different than the other two. The new variant’s box comes in sky blue colour and is bigger than the white-coloured box of the Mi CC9.
Meanwhile, Xiaomi smartphones with model numbers M1904F3BT and M1906F9SC, have also been certified by China’s TENAA certification. They are very likely to be Mi CC9 and Mi CC9e.
The Xiaomi M1904F3BT will feature a 6.39-inch AMOLED full-HD+ display with 1,080 x 2,340 screen resolution having a fingerprint scanner embedded to it. It will be powered by an octa-core processor clocked at 2.2 GHz and it will come in three memory variants – 4GB/64GB, 6GB/128GB, and 8GB/256GB. The smartphone will run Android Pie and pack a 3,940 mAh battery. It will also have a triple camera set up at the back with a 48MP primary sensor. For selfies, there is a 32MP snapper on the front. The Xiaomi Mi CC9 will likely be made available in Black, Red, Blue, Pink, White, Green, Purple, and Gray colour options.
On the other hand, Xiaomi Mi CC smartphone with model number M1906F9SC will have a 6.08-inch display and that the smartphone will pack a 3940mAh battery with 10W charging support. The handset measures 153.47 x 71.85 x 8.475mm. The listing doesn’t include the full specifications yet.
Separately, as per tipster Sudhanshu Ambhore, the Xiaomi Mi A3 will sport the same design as the Mi CC9. The source also claimed that the Mi CC9e would be Mi A3 Lite as per the leaked TENAA model number. It is now expected that Mi CC9 may come as Mi A3, while the Mi CC9e might be Mi A3 Lite
