Vodfaone rolls out 4G in Kolkata

Vodafone also promised to roll out 4G services in Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru by March.

As we reported earlier, Vodafone today announced the roll out of its services in Kolkata.

As of now Vodafone’s 4G services can be accessed in BBD Bag, Park Street, Alipore, Ballygunge, Salt Lake Sector 5, Airport and EM bypass of the city. “The roll-out will be completed across all parts of Kolkata by June 2016 in a phased manner,” the operator said in a press note.

According to Vodafone, its 4G users in the circle can enjoy unlimited movies for three months from Hungama Play. Besides, they can stream unlimited music from Vodafone Music. All Vodafone users can upgrade to 4G for free. The operator is also offering 100% extra data to its all 4G RED customers for 3 months.

Announcing the launch of Vodafone’s 4G services in Kolkata, Naveen Chopra, chief operating officer, Vodafone India said, “We are delighted to launch our high-speed 4G services in Kolkata for our customers to experience the most advanced wireless experience available across the globe today. 4G has the potential to revolutionize the mobile experience through powerful innovation that impacts how we work and live.”

Vodafone also promised to roll out 4G services in Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru by March this year.
