Vivo has today officially launched a new variant of Vivo X21 – the Vivo X21 FIFA World Cup 2018 Extraordinaire Edition. The smartphone will be available in two colour options — Classic Blue and Victory Red. Vivo has a partnership with FIFA for six years, including the World Cup tournaments in Russia 2018 and Qatar 2022.
The Vivo X21 FIFA World Cup 2018 Extraordinaire Edition is priced at 3,698 Yuan. The Blue coloured model will be available in China for sale from 26 May and the Red-coloured variant will be available on sale from June 1.
The phone has an extraordinary design, with the back panel having a four-dimensional gradient printing and a fancy pattern on top. The new variant has a three-dimensional 2018 FIFA World Cup logo at the bottom of the back panel.
This Vivo X21 World Cup edition smartphone comes with an under-display fingerprint sensor. Vivo’s own Jovi AI-based smart assistant will provide World Cup game previews, live links, notifications, and alarm for the game play.
The smartphone also comes with a customized user interface, with accents of red, blue, and gold colours. The Vivo X21 World Cup edition smartphone features custom World Cup wallpapers and a custom Dusha TM font.
As far as the specs of this World Cup edition of X21 is concerned, it is same as the existing Vivo X21.
Meanwhile, Vivo is all set to launch its Vivo X21 on May 29 in India which will be Flipkart exclusive. The Vivo X21 was first launched in China in March this year. It features a 6.28-inch Super AMOLED screen with a resolution of 1080 x 2280 pixels and an aspect ratio of 19:9. Though the device comes with its own FunTouch OS 4.0 on top, the X21 actually runs on the latest Android 8.1 Oreo. It is also eligible for Android P Beta as per what was revealed at the Google I/O conference.
The smartphone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 2.2GHz octa Processor coupled with an Adreno 512 GPU. It has 6GB of RAM and 64GB/ 128GB inbuilt storage options and expandable memory up to 256GB via micro SD card slot.
For the camera department, the Vivo X21 has a vertical rear dual camera setup with a 12-megapixel primary sensor with f/1.8 Aperture and a 5-megapixel secondary sensor with f/2.4 aperture with LED flash. On the front, there is a 12-megapixel front camera which has features such as a f/2.0 aperture, IR fill light, 3D mapping, and Face Wake facial recognition. It has a 3200mAh battery with Fast charging support.
Vivo X21 has connectivity options like 4G LTE with VoLTE, dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.0, USB 2.0 with OTG support, and GPS. The device measures 154.5 x 74.8 x 7.4mm and weighs 156.2 grams.
