Vine is a short video sharing based social network that lets user upload, browse and watch short video clips uploaded via mobile phones. Today, Vine has pushed a new update for the app on Android and iOS platform. Vine messages will let you send messages as well as videos with your Vine friends.
Vine messages feature has been introduce in order to compete with the Instagram’s Direct Messaging feature. The crowded mobile messaging has just got yet another feature that every second application already offers. The Vine Message can be sent out as text or video to one person or to several people at the same time. To differentiate between the messages, the Vine app offers two sections in Message window – Friends and Others.
Apart from Messages, the Vine app also allows user to change their profile color with the new update.
Instagram offers similar feature with capability to send videos, images and text to friends directly through Direct Messages. Several other mobile instant messaging applications also support the similar capabilities to send videos, images and text to friends directly. The interested users will stick to the application where most the friends usually hang out virtually.
