Videocon’s recently launched tablets – the 7 inch VT71 and the 10 inch VT10 – will come integrated with DigiVive’s nexGTv application.
Videocon VT71 comes with Android 4.0 (Ice-Cream Sandwich), 1.2 GHz processor, 3200 mAh battery, 7 inch display, 512 MB RAM, WiFi (b/g/n), front VGA camera and an expandable memory of up to 32 GB. It is priced at Rs 4,799. The 10.1 inch display bearing Videocon VT10 has Android Jelly Bean operating system, dual cameras (2 MP in both rear and front), 6800 mAh battery, 1 GB internal memory, 32 GB of expandable memory and is available at Rs 11,200.
Announcing the partnership with the handset manufacturer, DigiVive’s director, GD Singh said, “We are excited to partner with Videocon Mobiles for embedding nexGTv app in their recently launched tablets. The nexGTv app is basically a mobile TV application and offers national as well as regional channels in the category of entertainment, movies, news, and much more. Some of the prominent channels offered by nexGTv include Sony bouquet, Star bouquet, Aaj Tak, Asianet, Raj Channels etc. One of its unique features is adaptive streaming which enables seamless live streaming even on 2G network.
