UC Browser back in Google Play store with updated settings

Now UC Browser makers said that the updated app comes with enhanced technical setting which is in line with Google's policy.

Almost a week after its sudded dissapearance from the Google Play store, UC has now been re-listd in the application store.

Earlier some claimed that Google delisted UCWeb from its store due to security reasons but the makers of the said that some section of the app were not in line with Google’s policy hence they are updating it.

Now UC Browser makers said that the updated app comes with enhanced technical setting which is in line with Google’s policy.

“During the brief absence of UC Browser on Play Store, we continued to meticulously check our technical settings while also witnessing an uninterrupted passion of our users for the product, who looked upon the alternative version, UC Browser Mini, and made it to the top of [the] Free Apps category on the Play Store,” said Young Li, Head-International Business Department at Alibaba Mobile Business Group.

Alibaba-owned UC Browser is widely popular in India and it is considered as a popular alternative to Google Chrome. The browser is second most used web browser after Google and it accounted a market share of around 50 percent, according to a report by Stat-Counter in June 2017. UC Web claims that it has up to 100 million total monthly active users in India.

UC Browser is a free web browser for Android devices that comes with loads of features such as Fast Download, Data Saving, Ad-Block functionality, and helps you access music, video, cricket information with smooth experience. “Customized cricket feature is available on UC Browser. You can visit many cricket sites to support your team, and watch cricket live stream, and check out match scores on UC Browser,” according to its makers.
