A new SMS application, called Ubox, is now available for Android devices. The App helps users break through their SMS inbox clutter and gives them back control over their inbox. The app makes it easier to manage SMS conversations with your Banks, DTH, Operator and other applications in this world of over-promotion.
With Ubox, one is able to tell the difference between an important and a promotional SMS. It starts by giving context to the sms Inbox, the app auto sorts SMS’s into Banking, Bills, Bookings, Chats, Promo and Updates. With that done, users can switch notifications on or off as per the type of SMS. For example most users like to turn their Promotional notifications off as it comes in the way of work and family time.
“We understand that no one is texting friends and family anymore and when so many people around us started complaining about the constant distraction of SMS’s from businesses we knew it was a problem worth solving. With the onset of digital India, the number of sms’s we all get is going to quadruple by next year.” said Hameer Virmani, co-founder of Ubox.
The app makes it easier for its users to follow and manage their accounts using SMS’s as well. For example: requesting your balance from your bank, or switching data packs from your operator, or subscribing to channels is only a tap away now.
