The largest handset player in the country Nokia also added a suite of new and innovative applications to its portfolio, thus giving a better variety of apps to its users. Since we are talking about the year 2010, we have listed down the top 10 free mobile applications from Ovi Store that became very popular this year.
Opera Mobile 10.1
This is the latest version of Opera Mobile released for Symbian/S60, and is twice as fast as the previous version. It comes with speed dial, tabbed browsing, geolocation and password manager. It also allows for greater speed when downloading pages, zooming and panning.
Snaptu
This is a social networking application that includes all mobile essentials such as Twitter, Facebook, Flickr, Picasa, News, Weather, Sudoku etc in one place.
Opera Mini Web Browser 5.1
The new version of Opera Mini compresses data by up to 90 per cent before it is downloaded, giving faster page loads and reduced data costs. It also optimises content allowing you to view entire webpages on small screens.
Bounce Boing Battle
This arcade game is for two players each having a mobile device. You need to bounce a ball back and forth between two devices by drawing collision lines into the game area and score points by delivering the ball into your opponent’s goal.
Fring
This social networking application allows you to make free video calls and voice calls and do live chat with your friends on popular social networks such as Google Talk, MSN Messenger, Twitter etc.
Need for Speed Shift HDThe car racing game lets you tear through the streets of Chicago, Dubai, Italy and London in 24 street and pro-racing events.
TuneWiki
