LG is rolling out the Android 9 Pie update to some of its smartphones like all other smartphone makers. But, LG has a bad reputation in terms of software updates as the company has till now rolled out the Android Pie update for only two smartphones – G7 One and G7 ThinQ. Now, LG will roll out the Pie update for its four smartphones.
LG has shared a list of smartphones that will receive Pie update soon. The LG Smartphones that will receive the update by June 2019 will include V30, V30S ThinQ, V35 ThinQ, and V40 ThinQ. However, the company has not announced any exact dates for the rollout. The update is first expected to be rolled out in South Korea first followed by other markets later.
LG V30 features a 6.0-inch Quad HD+ OLED FullVision display with a screen resolution of 2880 x 1440 pixels and an aspect ratio of 18:9. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor along with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 2TB via micro SD card slot.
LG V30S ThinQ features 6.0-inch 18:9 QuadHD+ OLED FullVision Display (2880 x 1440). It is powered by Snapdragon 835 Mobile Platform coupled with 6GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage. It has 3300mAh battery and has a dual rear camera of 16MP+13MP and a 5MP front camera.
The LG V40 ThinQ features a 6.4-inch (3120 x 1440 pixels) FullVision OLED display. There’s an aspect ratio of 19.5:9 with 537 ppi of pixel density. It packs a Snapdragon 845 processor with Adreno 630 GPU which is paired with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The LG V40 ThinQ comes equipped with five cameras in total with three on the rear and two on the front. There’s also a 3,300 mAh battery packed inside with Qualcomm QuickCharge 3.0 support and USB-C. It runs on Android 8.1 (Oreo) with LG UX.
