Telenor rolls out 4G services in Dhanbad, Jharkhand

Telenor is offering cheap 4G plans as low as Rs 11 in the areas.

Telenor has rolled out services in Dhanbad district of Jharkhand. Earlier Telenor has rolled out 4G services across its 6 circles in Varanasi, Vizag, Amravati, Agra, Anand, Lucknow, Ranchi, Vijayawada, Tenali, Eluru, and Bhimavaram.

As a part of this launch, Telenor has introduced three 4G plans: a Rs 11 plan for which customers get 100 MB 4G data with 1 day validity, a Rs 148 pack offering 1 4G data with tariffs of 25 p/min for all local calls and 30 p/min for STD calls with validity of 28 days and Rs 248 plan that offers 2 GB 4G data with tariffs of 25 p/min for all local calls and 30 p/min for STD calls with validity of 28 days. If you live in Dhanbad, you can avail these tariffs by walking in any of the fully functional Telenor branded stores and few selected retail outlets.

On the occasion of this launch, A E A Jameel, circle business head – Bihar & Jharkhand, Telenor India, said, “The demand for high speed internet services is growing rapidly and the penetration of 4G-enabled handsets is increasing. Back in 2015, Telenor announced its goal to modernise its entire network by the year 2017. And the company now claims to have modernised 10,000 network sites including 1017 of 1203 network sites in Jharkhan. Furthermore, Telenor claiming that its Lean GSM solutions improves network capacity and coverage by nearly 25% using the same spectrum resources and provides superior voice and data experience.

Furthermore, Telenor claimed that the new technology has reduced congestion and increased data throughout giving an improved network experience. Not only this, the new equipment is environment friendly and power efficient consuming 30 per cent less power, the operator added in a press release.
