Tata Docomo revises Rs 179 prepaid plan with 39.2GB Data and unlimited voice calls

The plan now offers more data benefits and it comes with a validity of 28 days.

Tata Docomo, the telecom brand of Tata Teleservices, has revised its Rs 179 plan for its prepaid customers. The plan now offers more data benefits and it comes with a validity of 28 days.

As per report of Telecom Talk, under Rs 179 plan, the customers will get unlimited voice calling, 1.4GB data per day and 100 SMS per day during the entire validity period. The unlimited calls and is applicable only in home network. Outside home network, users will be charged at 30 paise per minute. The calling comes with a limit as Docomo has capped the voice calls to 250 minutes per day. After exhausting the daily calling limit, calls will be charged at 30 paise per minute.

In total, customers are getting 39.2GB data for the entire validity period. After users consume 1.4GB data in a day, users will be charged at 10 paise per MB. As per the report, Tata Docomo says that the plan is applicable for validity rollover facility.

To compete with the Rs 179 plan, there is a Reliance Jio Rs 149 prepaid plan which offers 1.5GB of data every day for 28 days, along with unlimited calling and SMS benefits. Vodafone also has a Rs 159 prepaid plan in which it offers 1GB data per day and unlimited voice calls with a validity of 28 days.

There is an Airtel Rs 168 prepaid plan which offers its users 1GB of daily data, 100 SMS per day and unlimited voice call without any FUP limit for 28 days. Both Jio and Airtel emerge as winners as they both offer voice calls without any limit, however, Docomo plan comes with a voice calling limit.
