Swipe Telecom, in association with MTV, has launched a 7.8 inch display bearing tablet in India. The tablet, called as Swipe MTV Slate, is priced at Rs 14,999 and is available for prebooking with delivery expected to start in the coming few days.
MTV Slate comes with SIM connectivity with which you can make phone calls to others as well as can access 3G. Its 7.8 inch capacitive touchscreen is based on IPS (In Plane Switching) technology and has 1280 x 768 pixel resolution.
The MTV Slate runs on runs on Android 4.2.2. Jelly Bean operating system and is powered by 1.2 GHz quad core processor from Mediatek. Besides, the tablet comes with 1 GB RAM, 8 GB internal memory, 32 GB expandable storage slot, 5 megapixel rear camera, and a 0.3 megapixel front camera. The tablet has a 3200 mAh battery which is claimed to provide 5 hours of talktime.
Pre booking for MTV Slate is available on Swipe e-store as well as online portals including Flipkart, Snapdeal, Infibeam, Homeshop 18 and eBay. Also as a part of the special inaugural offer the MTV Slate will come with a complementary business cover worth Rs 2,500 for buyers.
