SwiftKey introduces much-awaited transliteration feature

Earlier this month, the famous keyboard also introduced some missing layouts and Incognito Mode.

When it comes to typing, it’s always easy to type in English letters regardless of what language we are communicating in. But as soon as we turn the keyboard to any other language, for instance, Hindi, typing suddenly becomes a cumbersome task. One reason behind this is that we always grew with English keyboards and rarely had any other option.
SwiftKey
However, to solve this issue, SiwftKey has finally introduced a new update which will let you type your native language in English letters and convert it to your native language automatically. The feature is called transliteration and is only available for Hindi and Gujrati languages as of now.

With this new update, SwiftKey will automatically detect the language and script you are typing in to show predictions in the corresponding English or native language script, e.g. When “namaste” is typed it will show as both “namaste” and “नमस्ते” on the prediction bar.

According to the report, the transliteration feature will be automatically enabled to the users who have Hindi or Gujarati language models installed on their devices. Also, this feature will only be functional when you are keyboard layout and not any other layout. If you are typing in your native language script, the predictions will also appear in the native language itself. Earlier this month, the famous keyboard also introduced some missing layouts and Incognito Mode.
