Further, the brand is also offering fibre broadband services with the capability of 1 Gbps speeds for residential and 10 Gbps for business customers.

Spectranet, a known fibre broadband service provider, has today announced the launch of its internet services in Noida. The company is offering a speed of 100 Mbps for uploads and downloads. Further, the brand is also offering fibre broadband services with the capability of 1 Gbps speeds for residential and 10 Gbps for business customers. The high-speed fibre broadband plans start at Rs 1199 with FUP (fair usage policy) in the new launch areas, however, the services are available in Sector 93, Noida, with more areas being added rapidly.

Other than this, the company is also offering different plans ranging from Rs 849, Rs 1349, Rs 1,549 and Rs 1,849. In the Rs 849 plan, users will be 75GB data at 4Mbps and standard charges would be applied once the data has been consumed. Under the Rs 1,349 plan, users will be ‘truly unlimited data’ at 50 Mbps with no FUP limit, meaning that one can consume as much data as they want. Similarly, the Rs 1,549 plan offers 200GB data at 20Mbps, while the Rs 1,849 plan offers truly unlimited data at a 100 Mbps speed.

“Noida being an important industrial hub, it was our natural choice to begin our foray into the Uttar Pradesh markets. With tech-savvy residents who have a preference for quality services, we are ushering in the third age of connectivity across India. This age is device agnostic where content and experience is completely seamless and replicable between devices, where scalability, availability and affordability of high-speed broadband services are the fundamental driving force. Fibre Optic is the backbone of this phenomenon, said Udit Mehrotra, Managing Director & CEO, Spectranet.

It would be interesting to see how soon the company will roll out this service in other areas as well. Reliance Jio is also reportedly working on a fibre broadband network. To recall, Mukesh Ambani, Chairman and Managing Director, Reliance Industries Ltd, said during the annual general meeting that it is committed to launching FTTH (fibre to the home) service, which would be capable of delivering a broadband speed up to 1Gbps.

The company introduced this service on January 13, 2017, but only in Mumbai and was offered as a beta service. To give you an idea, Reliance Jio Giga fibre broadband plan will offer you 50 Mbps speed for up to 2000GB of data at Rs 1500 per month. This is one of the plans from the upcoming broadband services from Reliance Jio.
