Sony Xperia Tablet Z to feature 10.1-inch full HD display

It will be powered by a quad-core 1.5 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon mobile processor and Android Jelly Bean.

After announcing the Xperia Z smartphone, Sony is now all set to launch a 10.1 inch display bearing tablet by the same name, according to website.

The website, Xperia Info, on its Twitter account also revealed that the Sony Xperia Z tablet is to comes with with 10.1-inch full display, 1.5 GHz quad-core mobile processor and likewise high end specifications.

Sony Mobiled had announced the Xperia Tablet S for India couple of weeks ago. The company has big plans for the year 2013 and it starts off with the Xperia Z smartphone that surprised everyone at the CES 2013. And now this news of a tablet is even more surprising.

Sony will introduce Xperia Tablet Z with some great and competitive specifications. The Xperia Tablet Z will feature a 10.1-inch touchscreen display and it will feature 1920×1200 pixel natively. Now the Xperia Tablet Z feature a dust proof (IP55) and waterproof (IP67) design.

At the back, the tablet will feature an 8.1 camera to click photos and capture HD videos. In the front, there will be a 2.2 megapixel camera to support HD video chats. Under the 6.9 mm thin chassis, the Xperia Tablet Z will pack the quad-core 1.5 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro APQ8064 mobile processor paired with 2 RAM. By default, the Xperia Tablet Z will offer 32 GB on-board storage and we believe Sony will offer micro SD card slot as well. Sony Xperia Tablet Z will run 4.1 Jelly Bean update out of the box.

The hardware specifications of the Xperia Tablet Z already make it an exciting tablet worth waiting for. We expect to see some details and announcement about Xperia Tablet Z at the Mobile World Congress 2013 scheduled next month.
