The South Korean tech titan will showcase an ultra flexible OLED display at US Tech fair in Los Angeles tomorrow. The screen can bend 12 millimetres in both directions.
According to Samsung, the display will maintain a high degree of Resolution even when it’s being bent. An image released by the company shows the display bending into a tiny peak under pressure.
Samsung will unveil a 9.1 in display today, that is Tuesday, at the Display Week Event in California, and the news on the grapevine is that it will be used in everything, from wearables to smartphone screens.
The technology is still in development but the stretchable display is unlike any other display in that it can be curved, bent or rolled on either side. LG is also working on a foldable display albeit one that only folds one way.
