Samsung is reportedly gearing up to launch a new smartphone under its Galaxy On series in India. The brand is reported to launch the latest device in the first week of July.

The new smartphone will be an online exclusive, reports IANS. The new device will come loaded with Super and it will be backed by a 4GB of and 64GB of internal storage. The industry sources told IANS that the phone will be pitted against the phones launched by its Chinese competitors.

The report further adds that the phone will be powered by Samsung Exynos processor and the brand will also roll out a digital campaign before the launch as it refreshes the Galaxy On series. To recall, the brand introduced Galaxy On7 Prime in India in January this year. The smartphone comes loaded with pretty naive specifications when compared to what its competition is offering.

Samsung has been seeing a downward graph when it comes to bringing new features to its budget and mid-range smartphones. In the recent past, we have seen phones like Galaxy J6 and Galaxy J8 that offers new display trend, however, the resolution is particularly sub-standard as compared to what brands like Xiaomi, Asus and Realme are offering at a similar price point.

Meanwhile, the brand recently introduced Galaxy J4 for a price tag of Rs 9,990. The smartphone features a 5.5-inch HD Super AMOLED display with 720 x 1280 pixels resolution. The phone is powered by a 1.4GHz quad-core Exynos 7570 processor and Mali-T720 MP1 along with 2GB/3GB of RAM. It is backed by a 16GB/32GB of storage, which can be further expanded up to 256GB via micro card slot.
