Korean smartphone giant Samsung has begun the roll out of Google Android Ice Cream Sandwich 4.04 upgrade for the Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 P7300 tablet. Although the roll out has begun but not all the devices will be getting the upgrade.
The upgrade will be made available for the Galaxy Tab 8.9 WiFi version only for now while other users can expect the upgrade in the days to come. The upgrade has been made available over the air and has started showing up on devices in the USA at present. The upgrade is expected in India in the next few days.
Besides upgrading the operating system of the tablet from Honeycomb 3.0 to Android Ice Cream Sandwich 4.04, it will also bring a brand new interface. However, not much information is available now about the update.
The update is now available OTA or can be downloaded via Samsung Kies desktop. The update file is worth 343+ MB of data so users will have to be patient as the update process might take anywhere from 20-45 minutes for completion.
