Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 to launch soon in India

Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 has a new S-Pen which comes with a 0.35mAh power unit and is capable of running continuously for 10 hours.

Samsung launched Galaxy Tab S6 in August this year in global markets. Now the tablet will be soon launching in India as well.

The company has started teasing the launch of the Galaxy Tab S6 in India via a Twitter post. The tweet reads “Get ready to power up your ability to create and work, anywhere. Coming soon. #TabRedefined”. However an exact launch date is yet to be announced by Samsung.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 comes with a 10.5-inch WQXGA screen with a of 2560×1600 pixels and an aspect ratio of 16:10. There is a dual-camera setup with a 13-megapixel primary sensor with f/2.0 and a 5-megapixel lens with f/2.2 aperture and 123-degree field of view. There’s an 8MP camera on the front for selfies and video calling.

The tablet is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 with Adreno 640, 6GB/8GB of RAM and 128GB/256GB of onboard storage. The storage can be expanded to up to 1TB through a microSD card. It has a 7,040mAh battery with 15W fast charging and runs on 9 Pie with One UI 1.5. There’s a new S-Pen which comes with a 0.35mAh power unit and is capable of running continuously for 10 hours. The can be charged within ten minutes by keeping it inside the groove at the back of the tablet.

The new S-Pen comes with an integrated remote and offers a shutter button for the camera, air gestures and a clicker when making presentations. Additional S-Pen features include Handwritten notes which can be converted to digital texts, exporting to MS Word and make quick notes or doodles while watching a video.

The Galaxy Tab S6 comes with an improved version of Samsung DeX with a dedicated DeX function key on the Keyboard Book Cover. The keyboard itself has been upgraded with better functionality and a touchpad. The audio on the Tab S6 comes with the help of AKG-tuned quad speakers that support Dolby Atmos. There’s no jack. However, there’s an in-display fingerprint scanner on the front for security.

It weighs in at 420 grams and measures 244.5 x 159.5 × 5.7mm.Connectivity options include (optional), Wifi, Bluetooth 5.0, a POGO and a USB-C port.
