Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8 launched in India at a price starting Rs 9,999

The Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8 will be available in black and grey colours.

Samsung has launched Galaxy Tab A 8.0 in India on Flipkart. There are two variants with the only version priced at Rs 9,999 and the Wi-Fi+LTE variant priced at Rs 11,999 The Galaxy Tab A 8 wi-fi version will be available for pre-book on Flipkart and Samsung’s official online store Samsung Shop starting today while the Wi-Fi+LTE version will be available across selected offline and online channels by the end of the month. The Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8 will be available in black and grey colours.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2019) features an 8.0-inch WXGA TFT display with a of 1280 x 800 pixels. The tablet is powered by 2.0 GHz Quad-Core Snapdragon 429 with Adreno 504 GPU. It has 2GB and 32GB of internal storage with expandable memory up to 512GB with microSD.

For the software, the tablet runs on Samsung One based on 9 Pie. It is backed up by 5100mAh battery. The tablet has an 8MP rear camera with flash and 2MP front-facing camera.

There is no fingerprint scanner on this tablet, nor is there is any face unlock feature in the device. Connectivity features include 4G, Wi-Fi ac, 4.2, USB 2.0 and + GLONASS. The Tab A 8.0 weighs in at 345 grams (Wi-Fi), 347 grams (LTE) and has 210 x 124.4 x 8mm dimensions.

The Galaxy Tab A 8 comes with a free 2-month trial of YouTube Premium which gives consumers access to uninterrupted ad free content. The tablet is also packed with Kids Home, helping children develop their creativity and imagination. Parents can easily launch Kids Home on the Quick Panel and set up children’s playtime, allowed apps and media. It has a range of Lego game content and native apps like My Art Studio, Crocro Adventure, etc. The Galaxy Tab A 8 ensures that users can monitor kids’ screen time and what they access. It also enables users to protect their children from accessing potentially harmful content. The Parental Control feature lets the users set time limits for children’s use of the device.
