Samsung Galaxy Tab A 7.0 with 4000mAh battery launched in India at Rs 9,500

The tablet comes in White and Black colour options.

Samsung has added a new member to its Tab A series with the launch of Galaxy Tab 7.0 in India. The tablet comes with a price tag of Rs 9,500 and it will be available across retail stores starting January 5, 2018, and from Amazon. The tablet comes in White and Black colour options.

The company has also tied up with Reliance Jio to offer some interesting deals. With the recharge of Rs 299, Reliance Jio users will get a cashback of Rs 2,000 in Jio Money. This particularly brings down the cost to Rs 7,500. However, users will get Rs 800 after 12 months and Rs 1,200 after 24 months as Jio Money after successfully recharging their Reliance Jio account with Rs 299 plan.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab A 7.0 features a slim design and non-slip pattern that the company claims makes it easier to hold the device in one hand. The major highlight of the tablet is the 4,000mAh battery, which the company claims provides up to 9 hours of video playback.

The tablet sports a 7-inch display with a screen resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels. The device is powered by a 1.5GHz quad-core along with 1.5GB of and 8GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 200GB via micro card slot.

On the camera front, it comes loaded with a 5-megapixel rear camera with and LED flash, while for the front, there is a 2-megapixel shooter. The Galaxy Tab A 7.0 is equipped with Kids Mode that provides educational and beneficial content designed especially for kids. The device also provides a parental control that offers features such as setting usage time limits and restricting access. In terms of connectivity, the Galaxy Tab A 7.0 comes with Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi Direct, 4.0, GPS, GLONASS, VoLTE, and FM Radio.
